Paul was raised in the East County. He graduated from Granite Hills High School, where he played football, wrestled and played baseball. He continued his athletic career at Grossmont Jr. College, where he was a starter and defensive team captain at the linebacker position. He attended San Diego State and studied physical education.
Paul continued his athletic pursuits as a USCF bicycle racer and age-group triathlete. He continues to search for developing the best program to enhance human performance. His utilization of the CrossFit method has helped him and many of his clients reach their utmost physical potential.
His interests include family time with his wife Tina, his children, McKenna, Sydney, Trevor, Sami, Amber and his dog Daisy, bike riding, golf and an occasional triathlon. Paul's true passion is instructing, educating and inspiring people to never accept anything but the best that life has in store. Paul recently received his Olympic Weightlifting Certification.

Lisa is a Level 2 CrossFit Instructor and an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Lisa graduated Summa Cum Laude from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA with a Bachelor in Mortuary Science and spent several years as a Funeral Director before becoming a stay at home mother of two boys. In the summer of 2005, Lisa channeled her lifelong passion for competition sports, gymnastics, running & weightlifting into working as a personal trainer with Paul Flores at La Mesa Workout.

Jason has a B.S. Degree in Athletic Training/Pre-Physical Therapy from SDSU. With over 15 years of management and training experience, he enjoys working with a diverse population of orthopedic considerations. Once a former ocean lifeguard of 8 years, Jason is a high school varsity boys & girls swim coach. In his free time he enjoys multi-sport racing, yard work, camping and hiking with his fiance! Jason is a CrossFit Level 1 Certified trainer.

Teshina has a B.S. in Exercise Science and recently got her Master's degree in Exercise Physiology at SDSU in May of 2008. She is CrossFit Level 1 Certified and she also has her Olympic Weightlifting Certification. She has taught group fitness classes such as cycling and conditioning classes for over 6 years. Teshina currently teaches group fitness glasses at the Aztec Recreation Center, as well as weight training classes as a one-unit course for SDSU students. Teshina says she loves personal training and helping people reach their fitness goals.

She leads by example, managing a busy work schedule and home life while still fitting in her regular workouts. Her husband and 3 children can all be seen at CFEC, enjoying the family atmosphere and demonstrating that CrossFit is accessible to everyone.
